Introduction

Domail-Marchoi Meadow lies two to three hours walk ahead of Naranag a trekking base camp is connected to Srinagar by road which takes no more than one and a half hours drive. The trek to Domail is not a steep walk but it is felt due to the high altitude. Following an incoming rivulet, one can trek for hours to Marchoi meadow and beyond to explore the nature at its best. Pine trees, plants of variety and the ice presents a unique view in Spring. Naranag itself is an attraction holding ancient temple ruins.

Itinerary

Brief Itinerary

0700 – 0900 hours. Reception at Srinagar. Our guide will receive you at Srinagar and we drive to Naranag through Ganderbal. We take a short break at the Sind river bank at Wayil before arriving at Naranag.

1000 – 1200 hours. We start our 3-hour trek, hike through pine forest and meadow and arrive at Marchoi meadow passing Domail the confluence of two rivulets. The scenery and the greenery of the valley is itself an enjoyment. Having our lunch at the meadow we walk around to shepherd huts to discover their lifestyle.

1600 – 1700 hours. We trek down Marchoi and take our car drive back to Srinagar. Drop at Srinagar. End of tour.
