Shakeel Ahmad plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of all treks and expeditions. Shakeel is responsible for managing logistics, overseeing expeditions from start to finish, and working around the clock in the 24x7 control room. He collaborates closely with local administrations to ensure every journey is meticulously organized, safe, and environmentally responsible.
Adil Dar
Adil is the life and soul of our team, bringing laughter and positivity to every expedition. Hailing from Tulail, Gurez, he has a unique ability to keep spirits high, no matter how challenging the journey. Whether braving sub-zero temperatures or tackling demanding trails, his resilience and lighthearted approach make every trek more enjoyable. No matter the conditions, Adil is always ready with a smile, ensuring that every adventure is as uplifting as it is unforgettable.
Rigzin Namgial
Rigzin, our best outdoorsman, hails from Nubra, Ladakh, and has spent a lifetime navigating the rugged Himalayan landscapes. With years of firsthand experience in extreme conditions, he has mastered the art of high-altitude survival and self-sufficiency. His deep knowledge of the land and resilience in challenging environments have even served as inspiration for survival films. Whether in remote wilderness or harsh terrains, Rigzin’s expertise makes him an invaluable asset to any expedition.
Sajad Ali
Ali has been at the forefront of Kashmir Treks expeditions for years, bringing extensive experience as a full-time climbing instructor and expedition leader. Holding the Winter Mountain Leader Award, he has guided teams across some of the most challenging terrains in the Himalayas. His passion for mountaineering extends beyond guiding—when he’s not leading expeditions or training climbers, he’s busy planning his next big ascent.
Mudasir Ahmad
Mudasir Ahmad is a highly experienced Expedition Leader, Mountain Guide, and Trekking Expert, originally from Sonamarg, the gateway to the Great Lakes Trek. As the most senior member of our team, he has dedicated his life to exploring and guiding expeditions across the Vale of Kashmir, navigating its most remote and uncharted regions.
With an unparalleled knowledge of Kashmir’s sub-valleys, Mudasir has led countless treks and mountaineering expeditions, making him a trusted name in high-altitude adventure. One of his most remarkable achievements includes leading the first-ever traverse trek from Sind Valley through Lidder into Warwan Valley, a testament to his expertise and pioneering spirit.
Liyakath Ahmad
Liyakath Ahmad is a seasoned Expedition Leader and the lead trek guide of Kashmir Valley, specializing in the Tulail, Mahlish, and Gangabal Treks. With years of experience navigating the region’s diverse landscapes, he is not just a guide but a mentor, ensuring that every trekker gains valuable insights into the mountains.
His ability to communicate and engage with trekkers sets him apart—he ensures that every journey is not only an adventure but also a learning experience. With Liyakath leading the way, trekkers leave with more than just memories; they walk away with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Himalayas.
