6:00-8:00 AM – Departure from Srinagar

Start early to make the most of your day.
Travel by private car or hire a taxi.
Route: Srinagar → Budgam → Khan Sahib → Doodhpathri
Carry packed breakfast and enough water for the journey.

8:00-10:00 AM – Arrive at Doodhpathri & Exploration

Explore the lush meadows and enjoy the scenic beauty.
Visit the Shaliganga River, known for its crystal-clear waters.
Spend some time at Tangnar, a beautiful pine-covered hill.

9:00-11:00 AM – Start Trek to Diskhal Meadow

Trek Duration: ~2-3 hours (round trip)
Distance: ~4-5 km
Elevation: ~8,900 ft to ~9,500 ft
Hike through beautiful meadows, pine forests, and small streams.
Enjoy panoramic views of the Pir Panjal range.
Look out for local shepherd settlements and interact with them.

12:00-2:00 PM – Lunch Break at the Meadow

Enjoy your packed lunch amidst nature.
Relax by the streams and take photos of the stunning landscape.
Optional: Horse riding available for those who prefer a less strenuous route.

1:30-3:30 PM – Return Trek to Base

Descend back to the main meadow of Doodhpathri.
Take a different route to enjoy more views and natural beauty.

3:00-5:00 PM – Leisure Time & Visit Local Spots

Explore Palmaidan, a flat grassy stretch with boulder formations.
Visit the Sheikh-ul-Alam Shrine, a local religious site.
Try local Kashmiri snacks from nearby vendors.

4:00-6:00 PM – Departure to Srinagar

Head back to Srinagar to avoid evening traffic.
Enjoy sunset views over the hills en route.

6:00-8:00 PM – Arrive Back in Srinagar
